I agree with you that evolution does not disprove God. When I took biology in high school, there was a big debate about evolution, and most of the Christians refused to take the test on Darwin's theory. I finally convinced one girl to take the test after saying that it was Darwin's Theory, not Darwin's Absolute Fact, and wouldn't God get bored of watching things on Earth if they never changed? Why have all that power for all of eternity if you're going to put everything as it is right from the start?

Thanks for the info :) Isn't it annoying how the only people attracted to you are the ones you'd never consider going out with? All love is unrequited indeed...

Good paragraph :) I love Oscar Wilde. Also, following your links to past entries: I respect your views on God and homosexuality, and I see which angle you're coming from. Myself, I see homosexuality as biological (i.e. you're born either straight or gay), and a person shouldn't need to reconcile his or her sexuality with his or her religion. God, to my mind, doesn't give a hang either way. And look at Graham Chapman. He was gayer than a Maypole, yet he played a perfectly lovely Brian of Nazareth :)

When my Mum first met my Dad, she came home and told her mum that she'd never marry anyone but him. They didn't get together for another 13 years..! Dad took some convincing ;) Another friend of the family first saw the lady he went on to marry sitting upstairs in the church gallery from the pews down below. He didn't even speak to her or anything before he went up to the minister and said he'd seen the girl he was gonna marry. He pointed her out to the minister, who promptly said "Uhh.. I don't think so! She's already engaged!" But in the end they got together and are still happily married YEARS later. Because of my Mum I think it does happen with women, but not nearly so often as with men. Lets face it, guys aren't half as pretty as we are - that must be what it is... and they say love is blind! *grins* By the way, hello! I haven't spoken to you in ages. Hugs your way, Love Nim :) x x xx
